Calendar Notes

Yay Spring!  It’s finally warm enough to begin cutting back last year’s growth and observing new ones.  And with new growth, garden paths are migrating!   It’s always fun trying to decide where to reroute paths in anticipation of this year’s growing.

It’s still cold, so I think we’ll sow yet more seeds to cold-stratify in time for spring flowers.    Outside, there’s rutting deer & busy birdbaths.   Inside, we’re putting up tinctures and talking about how we get our Kombucha brews going.  Need a SCOBY to get started? 

It’s gotten cold.  We’ve had some snow.  The garden’s pretty much gone to bed.   Only a little-  that should’ve been done by the season’s end – is left to do.  Cold-stratify next spring’s seeds.  Protect young plants from cold winter and hungry wildlife.   Tidy everything back into place.  The herbs are dried and waiting to be […]
